This is not the first time I post a comment here. My last comment was when Jack came out with 'More Jack Than God. I mentioned among other things that this album had a different "feel" to it vs other of Jack's solo work, it lacked energy for example. Even the cover shot's looked somewhat depressing, then low and behold Jack became ill. Anyway, I am here to say that it woiuld be nice if Jack would, once and a while (once a month for example) write something to his fan base. Wwhy must we hear only from him when there is a desth in the industry? C'mon Jack, surely you have something to tell us.........once a month is not a big deal, even if its a few lines of what your up to. I hope the web master here allows this to be published on Jacks site and NOT ignore this. Many of Jack's fans think the same as I do here.

Jack: I just watched the Cream reunion DVD with my 21 year old son, who is a musician. I had been trying to explain the idea of a bass comprising such an integral part of the music, and now he gets it. Please, please continue the tour. You were and still are the most interesting bassist in music.
Thanks for all the music.

To everyone reading this:
Jack has made it clear that he would like to do a few more Cream shows.
Eric seems to hold no ill will toward Jack or Ginger.
The reason that there are no Cream shows scheduled is GINGER.
To everyone reading this: e-mail Ginger through his website! Let HIM know that you would like to see a little more from the Three Musketeers!!! And to stop bitching about the past and get on with the future!
There could be more Cream on the horizon! Let's get Mr. Baker to give us some more!!!

Hello, Mr. Bruce! It is an honor and a privilege to address these words. As a composer, vocalist, sitarist, and bassist, I can say that YOU are my all-time favorite performer, and top influence--I finally got an SG bass, and named it JACK! From my teenage years to my mid-30s, I only ever wanted to play like you (or sometimes Chris Barber), but somehow always ended up sounding like ME. I don't know if that makes sense, but... THANKS, Jack! P. S. I really enjoyed seeing theThree of You on DVD in '05; it did my heart a world of good. Glad to know you are O. K.

Jack: Received the Albert Hall Concert DVD about 6 months ago. Have watched it many times. My favorite song is We're Goin Wrong. You sound like a female traditional singer (high wailing voice), Ginger is doing some rolling drums like a symphonic percussionist and Eric played a fine solo in a rock motif. Everyone was doing something very different but, as a whole, the piece never lost its eerie feel or focus. Do you like Trad? Have you heard Bert Jansch's Black Swan? Nothing out of this world, just a happy album. Take care. Connie (short for Cornelius, I'm a guy).

Jack, I returned home from doin' my time in Viet Nam in '67. Intent on resuming my love affair with the drums, I walked into a record store in Wash. DC to catch up with what was new. As if it had been planned, I heard the opening lines of "I Feel Free". Bought the album. Listened to it only once and said," to hell with the drums, I'm going to be a bass player". Today after almost 40 years I'm still at it. If I can make it another 40, I MIGHT be half as good as you are. You are my hero.

Hi Jack!!!
I am a Chilean born in the City of Quillota, maybe you have heard of that city, I think so.
Since I was a little boy (only a few years ago) I have heard your music.
My father had some Cream recordings, and this is the way I knew about you.
For several years I was the only person I know that hear your musical works, then the magic began.
For those chances of the life I knew a Woman who love the band (something very difficult in my country), and of course: she love your solo career.
She lives in "Cuicoland"... and her name is "Miss Lonely".
That woman, my girlfriend, is probably your greatest fan and has told me very good things about you.
I wrote to give you thanks because your music have become the soundtrack of our love history.
You taught us that the age and the distance are not barriers for love, and that there is nothing impossible.
We sent you greetings from the Longest Country of the World: Chile, and wishing your visit in our country some day.

Just got a copy of the old grey whistle test sessions on CD and it's as great as the other BBC sessions. But how come it doesn't credit a keyboardist on Theme From an Imaginary Western? Was it you playing, Jack, or David Sancious? So much of it a has a definite Mahavishnu Orchestra ambience - like on Spirit. Much more than a wee bit awesome, Jack...gotta get a copy of the Manchester Free Trade Hall 2-CD set sumthyme soon....and to think that some people only know you from Cream, when you're actually SO much more.. Hello Jack! I'm but a slip of a lad at 33, but I've been a massive enthusiast since I was about 14. Not just with Cream (the bass on I'm So Glad from Goodbye absolutely blows me away!) but with the mass of solo adventures over the years. Songs For A Tailor is in my top 5 album list, and I was so glad to be able to hear the Jet Set Jewel album, finally! Just wanted to say thanks for wonderful times your music has brought to me. As a guitarist myself I have treasured the opportunity to 'jam' to your songs on many occasions. Take care and god bless.

After almost 40 years of listening to your music, it finally hit me why I admire your work so much: not only are you a great bassist, but your primary intent is to let the music and words speak for themselves--to do your job of supporting them and to get out of the way. You aren't so vain and egocentric that you insist on being center stage in the brightest spotlight; yet you create great art. Thanks for your superlative music.

My brother paid $3.50 to see Cream in the Village Theater in 1967. I paid $350 (face value) to see Cream at MSG in 2005. Inflation! Please get the Rockpalast dvds issued in NTSC for us American fans. Somebody had a good idea about some West, Bruce and Laing shows - Out in the fields - the Doctor, etc. Concerning Cream reunions - based on past history I don't think Ginger is the problem. He toured with Jack in 1989 and made the great BBM album in the 90's. Clapton wants to run his own show doing unambitious music.

Dear Jack. I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for a lifetime of inspiration and great music. I was a baseball player for my first fifteen years on this earth and was going to pursue it as a profession until i heard "Crossroads". Cream and more specifically you, introduced me to a whole other world of creativity and fulfillment. Growing up in Memphis with all the great Sun records stuff and later Stax and being surrounded by the blues was wonderful in itself , but i wouldn't have noticed all of that wonderful music around me as much had you not awoken another talent and interest in me Mr. Bruce, and i thank you for everything. Saw you with West Bruce and Laing at the old Ellis Auditorium North Hall back in the Seventies and then again with the Ringo band in Tunica Ms. in the early 2000's i believe. I was both astonished and inspired. Every other bass player in the Memphis area was there that night that wasn't playing another gig. You killed us all Jack. You are still the man!

Hi Jack, it was seeeing coverage of both you, Ginger Baker and Graham Bond on BB4 TV the other night.
As a student I am one of those fortunate people that used to see the Johnny Burch Octet at the Plough Inn in Ilford Lane, back in the mid 60's, whenever. That was a sharp outfit with terric arranegments and momentsI still remember your renditions of " The Immortal Ninth". Shame it was so shrt lived.
I met Johnn y Burch about 10 years ago in a small jazz bar in Bethnal Green (that is no longer there), and asked whether there were recordings of the Band, but it seems they are not being released by somebody. Do you have any further info on this?
All the best.

Hey Jack, I just wanted to congratulate you on a great musical career. You're an amazing bass player, definitely an inspiration for me. I'm actually trying out for a school sponsored rock band and I'm going to try to learn your part in Crossroads (Live from Winterland) as an audition piece. I doubt you'll even read this, but thanks for the music; there's nothing better than some fresh Cream.

Just want to thank you for all the great music I've heard and seen since 1966. Saw Cream at the Grande Ballroom back in the day, loved SONGS FOR A TAILOR (still do), your solo work is great as well as your albums with Trower. I also saw you and Ginger during the 1988 USA tour...You're the best...Hope your health is good and I'm looking forward to seeing you perform in the States again soon. Guess I'll have to settle for the latest CD's for now....I'm listening to THOSE WERE THE DAYS as I'm typing. Great vocals, not to mention the bass playing. God Bless ya.

I recall my older brother coming home from University in 1968 having a copy of 'Disralei Gears', and I was hooked. All the best Jack, also love your work with Robin Trower-so refreshing. I had the life time honour of meeting Jack a few years ago, at Gibsons tribute to Scotty Moor in a studio in London. I spoke with him, and although a small man compared to me, the aura of his to me, was huge. He commented (after I pulled myself together as he is a hero) that I had good taste in Tobacco, as we both smoked Old Holbourn.
It was a dream come true for me, I will cherish that 5 minute chat with one of the greatest vocalists, Bass players of all time.
I think him sincerely for making that a beautiful memory I will cherish.
God Bless you Jack
Have a blessed easter.
Terry.

Hello
I am so happy that "Jet set Jewel " came out. I only wish I knew sooner. I was the engineer at Trident Studios all those years ago NOT Stephen Short. It was a pivotal time for me and a very fond one. Stephen was kicked off the session by Dennis Mckay and come up from assistant to mixing engineer. When the dtrings came out of "Yhe best is still to come" Jack had tears in his eyes. It was an amazing moment. I was 19 sitting next to an Idol of mine. Jack If you do read this. I am extremely happy that this album came out for you. When " Sinky " ( Sinclair sic ) came to the studio to close the session down in one week finished or not I was in shock and I could see you were devastated. It was brilliant then and I still play my cassette MASTER copy to this day.
congrads Jack
warmest regards

Legend isn't a large enough word to encompass Jack Bruce the musician and player. Listening to his ground breaking playing with Cream as a youth I came to understand that scale in musical terms also equates to dynamics. I had never heard his sense of touch or scale in any other 'electric' player up to that point. Thanks for all the music Jack and good luck & good health to you and your lovely wife.
Sincerely,
Blair

My guess is that Jack rarely, if ever reads these fan comments or for that matter his own site. Jack, I love your music just as much as anyone. My complaint is that we almost never from you unless one of your music cohorts passes. I mean, c'mon Jack! We (your fans) have always stood by you (in sickness and in health)The least you can do is to keep us up to date of your plans and or projects!! Even if its once a month........that's not asking to much now......... is it?? I even attempted to email you via your "agent" (who happens to be your wife) and still no response. Now I know that you recieve many emails but as I already mentioned here, how about a monthly "Jack's Corner"? Hey, if you agree with my thoughts here.........write in and let Jack know. (hopefully he will read these comments one day)and them perhaps he will finally respond.

I was on Robin Trower's site recently and was reading a bit of the diary that he keeps. He mentioned that he and Jack Bruce are writing songs together and that the project is going well. For those who remember some of their previous collaborations, including the album entitled "B.L.T", I'm sure you will all look forward to the prospects of a new release. I would certainly support a short tour as well. I believe Robin would be excited about performing with Jack. Jack, I hope all is well.

I have fond memories of Cream, the early gigs and later standing right in front of you at the Farewell Concert in the RAH! Everything you have ever done is superb. Every note you play stays with me and forms a basis for all that I am today (nowhere near you but still trying). Like you I now need to chuck down some bananas to keep it all going (50+)! You are a STAR, you are THE MAN and along with thousands of others I salute you. If you ever get to Denmark, I will be honoured to buy your a drink, or a banana......... God Bless, Thanks, Derek

I just read the incredibly fantastic news that another Cream re-union awaits us! That is GREAT news as I was unable to get tickets for any of the NY Cream shows. I hope I'm able to be in the audience this time around (hint: please come to the Boston area). I read a statement you made about yourself in this new Cream reunion announcement, that during the last Cream tour(s), it was "quite difficult" for you as you hadn't fully recovered from you liver transplant. Jack, don't take this wrong. I love watching the Cream reunion DVDs and listening to the live CDs and feel that alone is a very special treat for all us Cream-Jack Bruce fans to have. But, honestly, I felt that you did appear a bit laid back compared to the intensity you've always played with and had during the 8 different live shows I've gone to and seen you play in around the Boston, Massachusetts (USA) area. I was wondering about that, as I never ever saw you use a chair before during any of your live performances ('cept when you'd be playin' the piano). I'd like to say to you that I'M SO GLAD to hear you report now you feel like you've fully recovered. That is first and foremost the best news of all. I'll be keepin' me hopes up that this new Cream reunion tour happens and makes a stop in the Boston area. I'd love to have the experience of seeing Cream play live at least once in my lifetime. With you at the helm, how could it be anything less than brilliant? Stay tuned with us! God bless, Allan

jack- I really have enjoyed your music-in high school in the late 60's me and my friends would cruise around listening to disraeli gears- it was all great but I alwasy enjoyed "we're going wrong" - great vocals and inspired me to write some songs and take up guitar...and I saw you're reunion video with ginger and eric and you all sounded incredible and looked very cool. congratulations on your longevity- everything in moderation-including moderation ! good luck ! tom

Hi,Jack! R&R Fantasy Camp was a lot of fun and you made such a huge contribution to it.You were the talk of the camp, too. You played and sang beautifully, thilling all present. It was great to have a few minutes to talk one on one with you.My wife,Pam[yes, the same one as always] sends her regards. She loves you, too. A real treat at the camp was meeting Natasha again after all of these years. She is a totally lovely human being with a great deal of vocal ability and talent.Natasha projects poise, balance, focus, calm, capable of dealing with whatever is going on and needs to be done. She was my band's manager for some of the days and sang with us a few times. If she has any music available,it would nice to somehow be able to get info on where to purchase it.She told me that she writes. I met Cuyler for a couple of moments and that was really cool. Both girls were really nice, nice to me and very sweet together......some interesting sibling dynamics! You must be very proud.I hope to make the next Cream reunion.I'm really glad that the will and committment is there to do it.You certainly sound to me that it could be the best one!You sound strong!Thank you for some more great memories.Hi,Margrit!BTW,if my pictures come out,I will send them to you.

Dear lovely JACK BRUCE! Let me call you so and the reason is that first I heard you in far,far 1966-s,when your disk "Fresh Cream" appeared.I was shocked.I opened something new for me,something unknown at that it was unlike the other music, music which being unlike the other, impressed me,by it sinkere kindness. And when I saw your photo, can't forget it till nowadays.Every time, having got your next disk with great difficully,as the prices were and remain today too high(but usually it takes a lot of time before we can listen to your next disk) I immersed in your music world and imagined as if,I were together with you. Unforgettable time! You had everything on your way:success and disappointment, but the time proved that your are "the qiants of music"! I am glad with to every you success still many ,many years.I always wanted to know about your as much.I'm interested in both:your life and work. Will you, please help me ,if it's possible to know more about you not only as a musitian but as a person. We can understand music though the musitians thoughts and soul even if we don't understand the words in English.I would like to speak with you about everything. But it's a pity it's not possible to write everything in a letter. A letter is the only means communication with you... The only hope to meet you and to speak with you it's your concert. But in fortunately it's very difficult.Heardly I when nor be able arrive in England single hope if you will arrive in Russia,we without fall a meet.Dreams... It is difficult for you to understand as it was earlier in the USSR (Soviet Union), with what difficulties to us the next albums of you reached. I remember those times when each new album got with the big work. Now them it is possible the find - truth bad piracy copies from China. In expensive dear shops it is possible to order and buy original disks, but they cost stand even more expensively the present true price... Now much has changed, I could see you "alive" in video, but remained as before impossibility to receive the autograph of you. I always dreamed, if not you then though musician you which works I really love and with pleasure I listen when some day will come and in my small world of the admirer you as a photo with his its autograph. But apparently it only dreams - miracles simply do not happen, and if are that only for " the elected public. But all the same, my love to music you remain with me for ever. And let dreams will not come true, but I trusted, and the belief and hope die the last... .My letter means you have reached, but I hoped to receive from your autograph-for me it is a limit dreams. With music of you I have lived the most part of the life and I wanted to have a part of this life having touched again by those unforgettable years of our youth by which part and were you.Forgive me,if I am too persevering. The you for me always was and will be that light with what the man lives. The thank for that you is.Let always success and our love will be with you. Dear lovely JACK BRUCE!I'm very sorry, but I have a request for you. Will you please send me your photo with your original autographs or just an answer on my letter. For me it would like... a present equal "the flight to the moon"! Oh,GOD!But it's just a dream,I even can't hope for it.There are no miracles in reality!? Having finishing my letter let me wish you everything a person can wish to his friends:a successful work and a lot of happiness in your life, and also to continue gladden your admirers with your songs.Thank the time thas has presented us such a wonderful musician and man.I want you to be happy and always young! We love and always will be with you. Also, I think I've gotten my younger sister into Cream. Pretty neat. She's 7,and I'm 15. People seem to find it amusing that I actually know who Cream is(was). My question is--how could you NOT know who Cream is? You're a legend, man! As well as the rest of the guys. Best Regards, -Brandi

I first heard Jack's thunderous Bass Playing as a boy of 11,back in 1969 (the two older lads next door) were blasting out Live Cream through an open Window. As a life long admirer of Cream's music and Jack in particular, I would just like to say thanks for giving me the soundtrack to my life. I still believe that out of the three members of Cream, great as they all are, it was and is Jack Bruce who actually gives Cream their unique sound. As amazing as Ginger and Eric are, it is Jack who's the indespensible ingredient. There are many great Drummers and Guitarists out, but only one Jack Bruce.

Sometimes I say SO much, yet say SO little (see previous messages). Jack Bruce,in all honesty,I'd love to meet you and talk to you about EVERYTHING! Music has always been an emotional experience for me,but I had NO IDEA that any music could SO deeply touch my heart and SO effortlessly talk to my soul,as your music has. Wish I could thank you face-to-face for, musically, laying your heart on your sleeve.....(when i saw & heard you sing,"Song for an Imaginary Western" at the piano by urself, and, "Weird of Hermiston" by that beautiful waterfall, i swear i fell in love.....) And now back to my normal cheeky self - Jack, what CANT you do?....last week i was introduced to WB&L- YOU friggin' R.O.C.K. big-time! a big fat raspberry to the Stones (wink) cos ur "Play with Fire" kicks their butt. And then "Powerhouse Sod" ..thatz one red-hot bass solo,Mister(& ur vocals aint so shabby either)...YOU GO BOY! Cheerio - look after yerself JANIE XX P.S. Congratulations on the Doctorate . I recently read in amazement the hurdles thrown in front of the creation of the classic masterpiece "White Room". To think that one of music's greatest works was held up for lack of studio availability or the opinions of a know-nothing so-called producer demonstrates how much of the world's greatest genius can be lost due to lack of resources. I humbly thank Jack for his dedication, hard work, and immeasurable contributions to the art of music.

I went back to Bishopbriggs last year, the first time in 30 years. Not a lot has changed, and still a lot of locals don't know who Jack Bruce is. Unbelievable. There's one track called "Heidi goes to town" that I've been trying to work out the tab - I've no problem with Don's melody - it's with Jack's line I can't get it - because he's playing above the keyboard melody. Can anybody help me with the bass tab to this song?

Hiya Jack , Last night I watched ur 50th birthday concert and had a bloomin ball - you did everything you can do musically with all your fave musicians . not a bad 50 YEAR STOCK TAKE, eh ?! Loved the bit where Kip is 2 come on & say somethin' nice 4 ur Birthday, BUT, comes on and says "EFF" that for a joke, and "EFF" YOU JACK, for being so "EFFIN" brilliant and making music that touches us all so deep. I whole-heartedly agree with Kip. oh yeah, then at one point UR playing UR cello doin' things to Bach that i aint never heard before, and at the end you said, "SHIT, SORRY BACH!" well, I burst out laughin 'cos, and im NOT shittin'here, that is EXACTLY what i say out loud when i feel ive just bungled up some BACH.Weird... There was some JAZZ- GINGER , DICK & JACK doin the jazz THANG...all nuts bout music, all havin' a bloody ball, all showing that they KNOW their arse from their elbow when it comes to JAZZ. Smiles and Grins AND Never tell your mother she's out of tune are stunning bits of music. My favourite was Theme for an Imaginary Western - Jack , you had me glued to the screen ....captivating , beautiful performance - i could listen to that singing forever ..... THEN there's the B.B.M. onslaught - gooooddd gawd , but that Gary Moore sure does fill up a stage doesnt he ? Loud , bold , happy , sweaty , fast....you and Gary and Ginger ROCKED THE HELL OUTTA THE PLACE! I LOVED Sunshine of your love with the horns added . Very good move, like the cherry on the cake. To all the Jack fans - get this show ...its like a Jack musicalography To JACK- YOUR music sweet music , captures my soul Janie xxxx

Dear Jack Bruce. Your older and most recent achievements - Blues & Beyond Festival, Scottish Academy, and even older, as West, Bruce & Laing and your stints with Larry Coryell and John McLaughlin -should be released in dvd. Even Bobby Darin's old shows were edited in dvd, and in colour. What an interesting news it could be. Thanks for your music, Carlos Bill.

The business of watching England navigating their way through this most prestigious of international tournaments is a fraught, tiring and emotional business. Victory must be expected - or there doesn't seem too much point in watching - but defeat should also be anticipated. There are so many variables to consider and so many challenges to contemplate, that the whole business is best served by months of careful advanced preparation.

Well...let me start with exciting passages. I recently looked at pics of Jack Bruce with Larry Coryell, Mitch Mitchell and Mike Mandel, as well as Jack's appearance at the Crystal Palace; I saw Jack, Larry Young, Tony Williams, John McLaughlin and Lifetime together. And I wish Jack's producers could release dvds of these oldies, live ones, as well as of West, Bruce & Laing and Cuicoland Express. Countless veterans artists of US and England have had their dvds released, even so many years after their deaths, so...Let's Jack's phenomenal music be widely known! I agree with Philip Jones when he says that it is Jack Bruce who has given Cream its inimitable sound. Every time I hear Jack`s name mentioned I first remember Cream. That band is a BLUES band, not a rock band (I don`t like music where noise is the main thing). If a group that disbanded almost 40 years ago has still this kind of position in the minds of fans, then there must be something magical in the music and atmosphere this band has created. But how to describe the sound with words? It`s difficult to express, but you know it!

Hello, Jack Bruce. I sincerely feel a great curiosity about the setlist that you played in the Blues & Beyond festival. I saw the pictures and see you playing your Warwick fretless; well, that's exactly it: to see those powerful licks in a so recent concert is thrilling. That concert in Germany in 1993, which resulted in the double disc release, was legendary - regarding your all-around playing on the whole show, featuring your extraordinarily evocative bass lines in Smiles And Grins and Neighbor, Neighbor, to name only a few, and the exciting arrangements and piano playing throughout of Never Tell Your Mother She's Out Of Tune -; I guess a live cd or dvd of the 2006 Frankfurt blues concert is a must for everyone. Best as always, Carlos Bill, 46, bass player, songwritter, eventually sings.

This is fairly daunting. Hero worship was never a part of me. Except for a single cat. Jack. The "Music" not the hit single meant everything. That never changed. I remember a fri evening well over 30 yrs. ago picking up "How's Tricks" and litterally staying up all night with that LP. I'll always know this, that my musical life Was forever changed with "Out of the Storm" The so called duds were anything but. The musical validity that He brings into any studio or live setting cant really be placed into words. He's done so much that until after He's gone wont be heard by the masses. Even then, people are so fickle when it comes to genius right under their nose. "I'm in the Mood" from the Hooker tribute album...O.M.G. And if we were to know the truth, I'll bet you it was the 2nd take. The Second.I CANT sit still when ever I hear that version. Moore has a little bit to do with this But it's Jack's presense within Any song. Does He "Know" where He brings forth that vocal quality, where He leaves the recording studio and like envelopes himself into the very fabric of the song, becomes the song? I think Jack may have been born out of time. Musically He's ahead of all of us. If we compare Him, Who do we pick? good luck. *Huge Smile* What you've done for me musically Jack, I cant place into words. I Love You Jack. I've Never said that to another man. Jack Bruce. What a Musical Trip!! : - )

Jack - excuse me please but just wondering if you know that today, 22-Oct-2007, Leslie West turns 62 years of age. I only mention this after reading about your new CD, Seven Moons, soon to be released with Gary Husband and Robin Trower. How about a good old West Bruce & Laing reunion and a new CD to boot? I know a lot of cats in the Boston area that would love to hear you play live on stage again; Love is Worth the Blues, Out into the Fields, Pleasure and Why Dontcha' (all WB&L actually) with Leslie by your side and Corky again on drums. I can vision that infamous -great wall of Marshall amps- surrounding Corky's drum set behind you and Leslie. Hope your health is keeping up and looking forward to your new material. Allan

EXCERPT FROM An Odd Boy Chapter 12 Savage Cabbage I never took praise of my voice seriously because it was just my voice and I had never learnt to play it, as it were. I could hold a tune. I was seriously loud. I was not afflicted with pink voice but I never compared with Jack Bruce. Jack Bruce had a way of tackling the melody line that was unique. He seemed to take an oblique line that harried the melody like a hawk. It was as if he was singing the harmony line to the melody and I could never quite replicate how he sang. Ron and Steve would tell me that there was no need to replicate Jack Bruce because I had my own style but I felt that Jack Bruce had some secret that was eluding me. I sang along with Jack Bruce on Spoonful repeatedly. I practically wore out the album. Finally I got some sense of how he sang that song. Then I had to forget emulation and sing it as myself but with his menace. I never quite made it when it came to menace. Also, I could not replicate the way Jack Bruce sang in the other blues numbers we covered. It must have been the jazz scales with which he was so familiar. I had no sense of how to deviate from the melody line as he did. It was as if he kept singing flat by a semi tone in unexpected places, and when I tried it out, it missed by a mile. It was not the same as blue notes, it was something else and I guess I should have taken singing lessons or something in order to have worked out what was going on. I wished I could have spent some time with him and asked What are you doing when you sing How do you get that menace How do you manage to sing sideways

Dear Jack Bruce, it would be simply magnificent if your A&R staff could research and search for rare Cream's oldies; Saville Theatre, Winterland, Fillmore West...I insist in call yours and the attention of your management for urgent releases of live dvds of West, Bruce & Laing, Jack Bruce and Cuicoland Express live at the Blues & Beyond Frankfurt festival, and material such as these (Tony Williams' Lifetime, Mike Mandel and Larry Coryell, even Cream at the Madison Square Garden, 2005. Such tonal bass incursions into wild, unpredictable and inexplored territories is much more exciting to music experts than it seems at first glance, and, Jack...you know how you did conquest these torrentially meaningful musical achievements. A simple statement: Jack Bruce playing Crossroads in the Wheels of Fire lp, or I'm So Glad of the Goodbye lp, or Powerhouse Sod of the Live'n'Kickin' West, Bruce & Laing cd, or Into the Storm or Timeslip live...don't need more talks. A very merry Christmas for you and family, a substantially better health for you, God bless you...Congratulations, Jack! Carlos Bill, 46, bass player, songwriter.

Spectacular, tremendous!! "...It happened again with Jack Bruce live, very very live and again innovating, reaching new, probably unexplored musical territories"!...Yeeees! This live Deutsche 2006 Festival record...is really another historic achievement, one which certainly made history already. I listened to the sound tracking; Jack's bass is more powerful and meaning than never, but it does not surprise nobody because the world knows his dexterity and incredible emotionality. Finally happened! I have written dozens of times in your guestbook, Jack Bruce, and, believe me, this record means a lot to me. Thank you. Yes, I thank because your effort proved to have been deep and incredibly opportune, such statement of virtuosity and down-hearted music...All my favorites are there...Finally new live music from Jack Bruce. Cool. As cool as a live event of such stature by a music superstar and bass innovator like you could be. Carlos Bill. Up-to-date but with the vigour of the old style playing. Seems like Jack playing in mid 60s but with an even wilder, more dynamic bass fingering, customary husky vocals, fantastic piano playing...Ooooh yeeaaaahhh!!! C'mon ev'rybooody!! Rock and roooooooooooool!!!!

Hello Jack and site maintainers! I wish to read the lyrics of other albums. For example the West, Bruce & Laing albums: Why Don'tcha, Whatever Turns You On. Another wish is the live album Inazuma Supersession Absolute Live. It is still available on LP only (so practically not available). The sound recording on the LP by Epic is slow (Jack has deeper voice). It is due time to release it on CD with correct tape speed. Thanks Csabi

Here's MY attempt :- JACK, YOUR SINGING AND PLAYING TOUCH ME IN PLACES I DIDNT EVEN KNOW EXISTED...... JANIE xxxx P.S.looks like everybody had fun at the R'n'R "Fantasy" Camp - but , it sure is a "fantasy" for most of us (ahem)! Seein'as you don't actually talk to us anymore in your diary(hint,hint..) I'm lookin' forward to at least hearing what you've been up to MUSICALLY on the new CD's ..!!

I am just now absorbing a new (for me) album More Jack than God. Great stuff! "We're going Wrong" is so powerful! It is such a simple song and yet so much emotional power.... I started listening to your music when I was 8 or 9 and have since gone on to fall in love with Jazz and then Classical music. Lately I am starting to listen to Rock again partially as a means to survival. I am a long distant commuter and coffee can't keep my eyelids open as well as music with a great beat etc etc....anyway I hear bits of jazz and classical and it all seems to fit perfectly. The . Curious about the title "More Jack then God" does this title have anything to do with Clapton. Folks called him a God for a while. Just curious..... .... nobody reads these anyway right? Oh uh!

I have to say it! I cannot stand the muddy woofer EB humbucker pick-up by the neck on Jack's Gibson! It may have sounded OK on the stage monitors-but it is not musical. It just isn't.*** Jack's road to fame came from virtuoso bass improv with the sharp attack tone, of the EB-3, Bridge Pick-up. Even Zappa sent him home to come back with THAT gear for 'Apostrophe.' (***while watching the RAH Cream Reunion ftg on YouTube, and listening on a good set of headphones***) While watching Eric Clapton's promo video on AMAZON for EC's new AUTOBIOGRAPHY-the thing that stood out was HOW GOOD Jack sung White Room in the studio! What a voice. In 1968-Jack had developed the best 'rock vocal voice' in the world-bar none, that ALSO had incredible jazz and blues textures mixed into it.

Greetings to you,Jack. So,I have applied to be your myspace buddy, but it was never approved.Could you do that for me ,please? Now for something else:I have read that you own a '51 Fender bass with a crazy low serial number. If it plays, have you ever recorded with it or would you?Wouldn't that be the coolest thing[for the right song]?It would be so interesting to hear what that bass would say and how you would make it speak!Anyway, that is my crazy little request and I look forward to hearing more new music from you sometime.I hope you had fun in Las Vegas at camp and that the Jack Bruce Family is all well.Take care and very happy holidays!

Absolutely LOVE the soundbytes from you're "Seven Moons" album with Robin Trower! So much so that we pre-ordered a few for late Christmas gifts and wanted to tell you BOTH - THANKS for another GREAT JACK BRUCE - ROBIN TROWER CD! Actually, we believe it is the BEST out of all the records you and Robin Trower did together. Can hardly wait for the end of December but at least we'll be ringing in the New Year with Seven Moons! Thank you so much! Dave & Callie Van Kleeck

For those of us not fortunate enough to have been born yet to see and hear the magic of Jack with Cream, thanks for carrying on so that we can experience the magic now as well as dig your current music. Your music brings a lot of joy to me and I hope that you keep on truckin on because we are all in it for the long haul....however long you keep at it! Should another reunion come about for Cream or if you decide to soon tour with your current band, please consider coming to Philadelphia. I wish you and your family a wonderful holiday and best wishes for the new year. I love ya, Jack!

Jack Bruce - Undoubtedly a peerless bass player but let's not forget the voice! I cannot not say which of Jack's gifts I admire the most. The innovative song writing, the unmatched bass playing or the soulful vocals. Oh well, guess I'll just go with the flow and enjoy them all! Greetings from Chicago! - Mick

Jack, Hows tricks. Been a fan of yours for so long its not true. have so many questions to ask, dont know where to start. Firstly do you answer any of your e-mails personally. if so heres one . That EB1 bass you used on the cream reunion gig.was it the bass that Felix Papalardi used to use in Mountain.Really curious. love to know as there are not many around and I thought you being close, may have inherited it. Also the bass sound on "Sifting Sand'on the Whatever Turns You On album. Did you use a different bass or was it just compressed. A fan in need of some answers Looking forward to hearing from you sometime. Best wishes for the Festive Season .

Have a lot of your music, Jack - the man who's always created my favorite bass sounds, and some great songs. Only got to see you once, at a university with West, Bruce & Laing in the mid-'70's. Looking forward to more Bruce music in the future. Blessings for '08.

Hi Jack! I remember you and Eric and Ginger when you came out to visit Detroit, Michigan in the late 60's and early 70's. Remember the "Grande Ballroom"? It was a new age, rockin' place back then, with black light tables, strobe lights, MC5, etc. You and the rest of the Cream came out to Cranbrook, an art institute with massively landscaped grounds and gardens North of Detroit. We all partyed in a large meadow, Eric climbed the trees, as I remember, and sat up in the trees. You and Jack joined us in a circle on the grass under the trees and we rolled some joints and smoked some good smokes. In fact you showed us how the British roll one up, a cone joint that blew our heads off. I remember those good times. It would be great to have a reunion sometime. I hope that you are doing well. Life has been a trial for us all. I still enjoy listening to your music and your riffs on the bass - the master! Blast out some good old tunes for old times sake, it would sure do our souls some good. Cheers!
