Jack's last ever musical recording will feature as part of a forthcoming Beatles tribute album. The record will include 16 acoustic versions of tracks originally recorded by The Beatles, with two bonus tracks included on the digital version. Jack recorded his cover of Eleanor Rigby just prior to his passing at his home studio in Suffolk and the recording is said to be a "devastating interpretation of the mournful ballad." Keep Calm And Salute The Beatles is due for release on Tuesday 28th April via Cleopatra Records.
This year's GRAMMYs featured an In Memoriam segment highlighting the contributions of musicians and artists lost in 2014. Jack was honoured via a special video tribute on the night. Jack Bruce's family would like to thank everyone for the kind words and messages from around the world with friends and fans sharing in their grief. Jack's private funeral will be held on Wednesday 5th November at 10am, Golders Green Crematorium, London. Jack always loved a good audience, so fans are welcome to cheer his arrival at the final 'gig'.

It is with great sadness that we, Jack's family, announce the passing of our beloved Jack: husband, father, granddad, and all round legend. The world of music will be a poorer place without him, but he lives on in his music and forever in our hearts.

Jack Bruce is one of the greatest musicians to emerge in Britain in the 1960s. His work as a bass player, piano player, cellist, vocalist, writer and performer with Cream and as a highly respected solo artist is the stuff of legend. Currently at the writing and recording stage, Jack’s new album is due to be released at the beginning of March 2014 and will be followed by a period of touring. Label manager Mark Powell stated; “It is an absolute honour to be working with a musician of the stature of Jack Bruce on his next studio album. We are delighted to welcome him to the label and are looking forward immensely to the new record”.
