Last month Jack became only the third recipient of the International Bassist Award, a lifetime achievement award for bassists. He was presented with the award at January's NAMM show.

Rave reviews have started pouring in for Spectrum Road, the Tony Williams Lifetime tribute band featuring Jack Bruce, Vernon Reid, John Medeski and Cindy Blackman-Santana. Arts Journal had this to say about the band's opening shows at the Blue Note in New York City: "What if there's more to jazz than you suppose? This video features the young Jack Bruce, Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker performing on the French programme Vient De Paraitre. Jack and the band lip sync to Wrapping Paper and Sweet Wine, from Cream's first singles releases. Jack can be seen playing his Fender Bass VI.
Jack is set to perform multiple concerts with the Tony Williams Lifetime Tribute Band, also featuring Vernon Reid, John Medeski and Cindy Blackman. Jack ruled out another Cream reunion in a recent interview with BBC 6Music. "There's a new story now – Cream is over." Jack added, however, that he is working on an important, secret new project.
